Hoosier Basketball Magazine hosts Top 60 Senior Workouts

By Kip Wesner

Kip WesnerSixty of Indiana’s best senior boys and senior girls will be invited to participate in Hoosier Basketball Magazine’s 2025 Top 60 Senior Workouts held in conjunction with the IHSAA and the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association.

The 44th annual Girls’ Top 60 Senior Workout will be Sunday, March 9, 2025, at Beech Grove High School on the south side of Indianapolis. The 37th Boys’ Top 60 Senior Workout will take place on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at an Indianapolis location.

Both Top 60 Senior Workouts will begin at 1:00 p.m. and will include two sessions — 1:00-3:00 p.m. and 3:30-5:30 p.m. Each Top 60 Senior Workout is open to the public. Admission is $9 per person for each workout.

The two workouts are coordinated by Hoosier Basketball Magazine publisher Kip Wesner. Former state champion coach DeeAnn Ramey of North Central served as the on-court director of the 2024 Girls’ Top 60 Senior Workout, assisted by IBCA-member coaches. Former state champion coach Chris Hawkins of Indianapolis Attucks directed the Boys’ Top 60 Senior Workout in 2024. He also was assisted by IBCA-member coaches.

These workouts give the state’s outstanding seniors a chance to meet and compete. They also afford college coaches an opportunity to observe the players against top-tier competition.

While NOT a tryout for the Indiana All-Stars, both of these events give Indiana All-Star games director Mike Broughton and his Indiana All-Star coaches (boys and girls) the opportunity to observe the state’s best senior players against each other in top-flight competition.

For further details, call the Hoosier Basketball Magazine office at (317) 925-8200. Or send an e-mail to hoosierbbllmag@att.net.
