This is the year the IBCA was able to make proposals to the IHSAA concerning our sport.
After surveying all head coaches, with strong support from head coaches, the IBCA decided to make two proposals:
- An idea to change the state tournament format.
- To change to length of quarters for JV games from six minutes to seven minutes.
Both proposals were presented to the Indiana Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association on March 23 and to the IHSAA Executive Committee on March 28.
Both the IIAAA and the IHSAA received both proposals with positive feedback.
The IHSAA now is studying the proposals and will take action on them at its board meeting on May 5.
