In order for a player from your school to be eligible for selection to an IBCA All-State Team, the IBCA Academic All-State Team or to win a Marion Crawley, Junior Mannies or Pat Aikman scholarship award, you must be a current-year-member of the IBCA.

These are just some of the benefits of joining the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association. Also, if you register now, you receive membership for $25 per coach. If you register after Jan. 31, the fee is $35 per coach.

Here is a list of numerous other benefits for membership.

  1. Utilize members-only IBCA website to stay abreast of issues related to our profession.
  2. $1 million liability insurance for active high school, junior high and elementary coaches.
  3. Become active and have ownership in the IBCA-and-IHSAA working relationship.
  4. Utilize free job-placement service.
  5. Receive IBCA newsletter.
  6. Be elected to the Board of Directors or be appointed to a committee.
  7. Be selected as a District Coach of the Year.
  8. Receive a Milestone Award at the IBCA Spring Clinic.
  9. Receive college credit for Spring Clinic attendance.
  10. Be selected as a Spring Clinic speaker; grow professionally by hearing other successful coaches speak.
  11. Ensure your players’ eligibility for IBCA All-State Teams.
  12. Nominate your player for Academic All-State.
  13. Nominate a player, student manager, statistician or cheerleader for one of the IBCA Marion Crawley Memorial Scholarship or Pat Aikman Scholarship college financial grants.
  14. Nominate a handicapped student for a Junior Mannies Scholarship Grant funded by the IBCA.
  15. Nominate players for the Top 100 Underclass Boys' or Girls’ Showcases.
  16. Be eligible to become an Indiana All-Star Coach or to be selected to coach at one of the Top 100 Showcases.
  17. Become more professional by joining your professional association.
  18. Free admission to the IBCA/IHSAA Showcases.
  19. Free admission to the All-Star Shootout events.
  20. Promote your players through the IBCA/Subway Player of the Week program.
  21. Discounted membership when joining the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame as an Active Coach.
  22. NABC (National Association of Basketball Coaches) offers a reduced membership rate for High School Coaches. Usual rate of $70 has been reduced to only $29 per year for IBCA Members. Also membership will give each member the potential of getting NCAA Final Four tickets.
  23. By joining the IBCA, you also become a member of the National High School Basketball Coaches Association (NHSBCA) and have a voice for high school basketball on the national level.
  24. Discount tickets to the Indiana-Kentucky All-Star Games.
  25. Access to the Winning Hoops “Play of the Day.”
