Sixty of Indiana’s best senior boys and 60 of Indiana’s best senior girls will be invited to participate in Hoosier Basketball Magazine’s 2018 Top 60 Senior Workouts held in conjunction with the IHSAA and the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association.
The 35th annual Girls’ Top 60 Senior Workout will be Sunday, March 4, 2018, at Heritage Christian School on the northeastside of Indianapolis.
The 30th annual Boys’ Top 60 Senior Workout will take place in late March 2018 at Beech Grove High School on the south side of Indianapolis. The exact date will be announced later.
Both Top 60 Senior Workouts will begin at 1:00 p.m. and will include two sessions — 1:00-3:00 p.m. and 3:30-5:30 p.m.
The two workouts are coordinated by Hoosier Basketball Magazine publisher Kip Wesner. State championship coach Rick Risinger of Heritage Christian will serve as on-court director of the 2018 Girls’ Top 60 Senior Workout, assisted by IBCA-member coaches. IBCA-member coaches also will be conducting the Boys’ Top 60 Senior Workout. Steve Lynch of Brownsburg will be the on-court director.
These workouts give the state’s outstanding seniors a chance to meet and compete. They also afford college coaches an opportunity to observe the players against top-tier competition.
While NOT a try-out for the Indiana All-Stars, both of these events give Indiana All-Star games director Charlie Hall and his Indiana All-Star coaches (boys and girls) the opportunity to observe the state’s best senior players against each other in top-flight competition.
