IBCA initiative against cancer  
Your contributions to support the fight against cancer are much appreciated. As the E-Newsletter goes to press, with some schools not yet reporting, participating schools have reported raising $75,070 – many schools through the American Cancer Society’s formal Coaches vs. Cancer program and some schools raising funds and donating to other cancer-related charities such as Susan G. Komen Foundation, the Sharon L. Bassett Foundation or other local hospitals or agencies.

IBCA/Subway Senior and Underclass Boys All-State  
Fifteen players were chosen “Supreme 15,” 15 more were chosen Large School All-State and 15 more were chosen Small School All-State for both Senior and Underclass players in the IBCA/Subway All-State program for boys. In addition, 78 seniors and 77 underclass players received Honorable Mention All-State accolades.

Fifteen players were chosen “Supreme 15”, 15 more were chosen Large School All-State and 15 more were chosen Small School All-State for both Senior and Underclass players in the IBCA/Subway All-State program for girls. In addition, 76 seniors and 87 underclass players received Honorable Mention All-State accolades.

Boys Academic All-State  
Thirty-five players were chosen as first-team selections on the IBCA 2015 Boys' Academic All-State Team. An additional 180 players were selected as honorable mention Academic All-State.

Girls Academic All-State  
Thirty-four players were chosen as first-team selections on the IBCA 2015 Girls' Academic All-State Team. An additional 138 players were selected as honorable mention Academic All-State.

IBCA/Subway Players of the Week  
Ninety-five student-athletes were named IBCA/Subway Players of the Week during the 2014-15 season. Those selected – 54 boys and 41 girls – will receive a certificate of recognition of their honor from the IBCA and Subway Restaurants of Indiana.

Indiana All-Stars By Charlie Hall
The Indiana-Kentucky All-Star series is still growing. Thanks to your efforts and the efforts of your players, Indiana swept all four games last year (yes, that’s a good thing). We hope to do the same in 2015.

Indiana-Kentucky Challenge Cup  
The second Indiana-Kentucky Challenge Cup was played Jan. 10 at New Castle Fieldhouse. The event is a five-game competition between teams from Indiana and Kentucky, coordinated by the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association and the Kentucky Association of Basketball Coaches.

This past year has been an outstanding one for the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame as we have been involved with events that have furthered the knowledge, interest and love of Indiana high school basketball.

If you are an active IBCA member who coaches high school, junior high school or elementary boys or girls, you have $1 million general liability insurance through our affiliation with the National Organization of Coaches Association Directors (NOCAD). This insurance covers you while working at youth sports camps and/or conducting your own personal camp.

The 13th annual IBCA/IHSAA Top 100 Showcase events will be July 7 for girls and July 8 for boys, both at Ben Davis High School.

Sixty of Indiana’s best class of 2015 senior boys’ and senior girls’ high school players were invited to participate in Hoosier Basketball’s 2015 Top 60 Workouts held annually in conjunction with the IHSAA and the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association.
