Join the IBCA
In order for a player from your school to be eligible for selection to an IBCA All-State Team, the IBCA Academic All-State Team or to win a Marion Crawley, Junior Mannies or Pat Aikman scholarship award, you must be a current-year-member of the IBCA.

IBCA All-State teams for 2016-17
The IBCA will choose all-state teams in four general categories in 2016-17 – Senior Boys, Underclass Boys, Senior Girls and Underclass Girls. Within each category, four groups of honorees will be selected.

Indiana-Kentucky Challenge Cup
The IBCA calendar in 2016-17 again will include the Indiana-Kentucky Challenge Cup, a five-game event between teams from Indiana and Kentucky.

January is ‘Coaches vs. Cancer’ month
In the first nine years of this initiative, boys’ and girls’ coaches across Indiana raised more than $826,000. In 2015-16 coaches, teams and communities that reported raised more than $67,000. That brings the nine-year reported total from Indiana basketball coaches to $826,428.

2016-17 new coaches
From the beginning of last season through September 2016, 141 people have been hired as new varsity basketball coaches in Indiana high schools -- 66 to boys’ basketball positions and 75 to girls’ basketball positions -- for the 2016-17 season.

All-Star report

Slowly but surely, we are continuing to grow the games year to year. We won all four games and had our best crowd in more than 10 years. In 2008, we had a crowd of 5,091; this year’s doubleheader at Bankers Life Fieldhouse saw 6,851 fans attend.

Information on insurance coverage provided by the IBCA
As a membership benefit, coverage is provided by the Commercial General Liability Policy issued to the National Organization of Coaches Association Directors. This policy will protect the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association and its active members who are high school coaches, junior high coaches or elementary coaches from claims made by negligent acts accidentally committed resulting in bodily injury, personal and advertising injury or property damage to others.
