2023 Coaching ‘Milestone’ Award registration form  
If you reached 100 victories, 200 victories, 300 victories or another Century "Milestone" number of coaching victories, please go to the IBCA website and click on “Nomination Forms.” Once there, go to the section labeled “Coaching Awards” and click on the red button labeled "Century Awards." Then complete the form, make sure you click on "submit" when you finish the form. Please do this by April 7, 2023.

Former Loogootee boys' coach and former Rushville girls' coach were recognized among the honorees of the John Wooden Legacy Coaching Award presented by the National High School Basketball Coaches Association.

2023 Virgil Sweet Distinguished Service Awards  
Each year the IBCA Board of Directors selects individuals from each of the three IHSAA districts to receive the Virgil Sweet Distinguished Service Award. The award, named in honor of the former Executive Director of the IBCA, is given to individuals who have provided meritorious service in the promotion of basketball in the state of Indiana. The winners for 2023 are Roger Grossman, Denise McClanahan and Mike Lopresti.

The IBCA has presented Administrator of the Year awards since 2008. Congratulations to the 2023 Administrators of the Year – Chip Pettit, Brandon Ecker and Jeff Cerqueira.

2023 IBCA/Franciscan Health Senior and Underclass Boys' All-State  
Fifteen seniors and 15 underclass players were chosen “Supreme 15,” 15 more seniors and 15 more underclass players were chosen Large School All-State, and 15 more seniors and 15 more underclass players were chosen Small School All-State in the IBCA/Franciscan Health All-State program for boys for the 2022-23 season. In addition, 91 seniors and 90 underclass players received Honorable Mention All-State accolades.

2023 IBCA/Franciscan Health Senior and Underclass Girls All-State  
Fifteen seniors and 15 underclass players were chosen “Supreme 15,” 15 more seniors and 15 more underclass players were chosen Large School All-State, and 15 more seniors and 15 more underclass players were chosen Small School All-State in the IBCA/Franciscan Health All-State program for girls for the 2022-23 season. In addition, 89 seniors and 91 underclass players received Honorable Mention All-State accolades.

2023 Boys’ Academic All-State  
Thirty-six players were chosen as first-team selections on the IBCA 2023 Boys' Academic All-State Team. An additional 236 players were selected as honorable mention Academic All-State. To see the list of those honored, go to this link: IBCA Boys Academic All State Teams. Certificates will be e-mailed to coaches of honored players during April.


2023 Girls’ Academic All-State  
Thirty-three players were chosen as first-team selections on the IBCA 2023 Girls' Academic All-State Team. An additional 247 players were selected as honorable mention Academic All-State. To see the list of those honored, go to this link: IBCA Girls Academic All State Teams. Certificates will be e-mailed to coaches of honored players during April.


IBCA/Franciscan Health Players of the Week  
Ninety-one student-athletes were named IBCA/Franciscan Health Players of the Week during the 2022-23 season. Those selected – 49 boys and 42 girls – will receive a certificate of recognition of their honor from the IBCA.

Indiana All-Stars By Mike Broughton
The Indiana-Kentucky All-Star series resumes competition with senior doubleheaders on June 9 in Owensboro and June 10 in Indianapolis; the Junior-Senior doubleheader is June 7; the Juniors face Kentucky on June 4 in Jeffersonville; and new this year, Futures Games on June 10 in Indianapolis.

Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame By Matt Martin
Eighteen men recently were inducted in the men's Hall of Fame class of 2023; 10 individuals are set to be inducted into the women's Hall of Fame class of 2023 on April 29; three Hall of Fame golf tournaments are scheduled for this summer; Columbia City, Indian Creek, Lake Central and Jennings County girls as well as Kokomo, Indianapolis Attucks, Brownstown Central and Brownsburg boys have been chosen for the 2023 Raymond James Hall of Fame Classic fields.

This insurance covers you in the classroom or while working at youth sports camps and/or conducting your own personal camp.

Underclass Showcase events are set for June 15 and June 17. In addition, the inaugural girls’ Summer Team Tournament is planned for June 16-17 and the annual boys’ Summer Team Tournament is set for June 23-25.

Hoosier Basketball Magazine Top 60 Senior Workouts By Kip Wesner
Sixty of Indiana’s best class of 2023 senior boys’ and senior girls’ high school players were invited to participate in Hoosier Basketball’s 2023 Top 60 Senior Workouts held annually in conjunction with the IHSAA and the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association.
