Each year the IBCA Board of Directors selects individuals from each of the three IBCA Districts to receive the Virgil Sweet Distinguished Service Award. The award, named in honor of the longtime former Executive Director of the IBCA, is given to individuals who have provided meritorious service in the promotion of basketball in the state of Indiana.

Thirty-three players were chosen as first-team selections on the IBCA 2014 Boys' Academic All-State Team. An additional 135 players were selected as honorable mention Academic All-State.

IBCA/Subway Players of the Week
More than 90 student-athletes were named IBCA/Subway Players of the Week during the 2013-14 season. Those selected – 48 boys and 44 girls – will receive a certificate of recognition of their honor from the IBCA and Subway Restaurants of Indiana.
