The Indiana High School Basketball Record Book has statistics on nearly every high school boys basketball program in the state of Indiana – 400-plus overall.

Join the IBCA  
In order for a player from your school to be eligible for selection to an IBCA All-State Team, the IBCA Academic All-State Team or to win a Marion Crawley, Junior Mannies or Pat Aikman scholarship award, you must be a current-year-member of the IBCA.

Sometime in October, the IBCA will e-mail head coaches a survey on various topics related to high school basketball. When you receive the survey, please reply to it in a timely fashion.

IBCA All-State teams for 2019-2020  
The IBCA will choose all-state teams in four general categories in 2019-2020 – Senior Boys, Underclass Boys, Senior Girls and Underclass Girls. Within each category, four groups of honorees will be selected.

Indiana-Kentucky Challenge Cup  
The IBCA calendar in 2019-20 again will include the Indiana-Kentucky Challenge Cup. This year, the seventh annual event will be played Dec. 14, 2019, and include seven games at two Kentucky venues.

January is ‘Coaches vs. Cancer’ month  
In the first 12 years of this initiative, boys’ and girls’ coaches across Indiana have raised more than $1,025,000 – including more than $75,000 last season – in the fight against cancer.

New varsity coaches for 2019-2020  
From the beginning of last season through late September 2019, 152 Indiana high schools schools have hired new varsity basketball coaches – 79 to boys’ basketball positions and 73 to girls’ basketball positions – for the 2019-2020 season.

Initial-eligibility requirements for college-bound student-athletes  
Many high school athletes aspire to one day compete in college athletics. Academic performance at the high school level is often an early question that college coaches ask about when considering a prospect from the high school level. Remember, it is “student-athlete” and not just “athlete.”

As a membership benefit, coverage is provided by the Commercial General Liability Policy issued to the National Organization of Coaches Association Directors. This policy will protect the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association and its active members.

Some of the top players with returning high school eligibility in the state participated in the 17th annual IBCA/IHSAA Boys' Showcase on June 22, in the IBCA/IHSAA Boys’ Team Showcase in memory of Charlie Hughes on June 28-30 and in the 17th annual IBCA/IHSAA Girls’ Showcase on July 15.
