2012 Virgil Sweet Distinguished Service Awards  
Each year the IBCA Board of Directors selects individuals from each of the three IBCA Districts to receive the Virgil Sweet Distinguished Service Award. The award, named in honor of the longtime former Executive Director of the IBCA, is given to individuals who have provided meritorious service in the promotion of basketball in the state of Indiana.

Fifteen seniors and 15 underclass boys basketball players have been chosen first-team all-state by the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association.

Fifteen seniors and 15 underclass girls basketball players have been chosen first-team all-state by the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association.

Boys Academic All-State  
Twenty-nine players were chosen as first-team selections on the IBCA Boys' Academic All-State Team. An additional 146 players were selected as honorable mention Academic All-State.

Girls Academic All-State  
Twenty-eight players were chosen as first-team selections on the IBCA Girls' Academic All-State Team. An additional 148 players were selected as honorable mention Academic All-State.

IBCA/Pacers-Fever Players of the Week  
More than 100 student-athletes were named IBCA/Pacers-Fever Players of the Week during the 2011-12 season. Those selected – 56 boys and 48 girls – will receive a certificate of recognition of their honor from the Pacers or Fever.

The 72nd renewal of the border war between Indiana and Kentucky is under new management. The IBCA, your coaches association, now is the primary administrator of the All-Star series.

Sixty of Indiana’s best class of 2012 senior boys' and senior girls’ high school players were invited to participate in Hoosier Basketball’s 2012 Top 60 Workouts held annually in conjunction with the IHSAA and the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association.
