IBCA Clinic set for April 24-25 at Mt. Vernon (Fortville)

Akron's John Groce, Indiana State's Matthew Graves and Ball State's Brady Sallee featured in Thursday-Friday format; other speakers include Miami of Ohio's Travis Steele, Bradley's Brian Wardle, Fort Wayne's Maria Marchesano and Bryan (Tenn.) College's Matt Bollant.

IBCA initiative against cancer

Thanks to all coaches, teams, schools and dedicated community members who have participated in the 18th annual IBCA initiative against cancer during the 2024-25 season, raising more than $102,000 in the fight to find a cure.

2024-25 Boys’ Coaches of the Year

Congratulations to the 2024-25 “Bob King Award” winners as Boys' Coaches of the Year: Eli Henson, Garrett Winegar and Seve Beach.

2024-25 Girls’ Coaches of the Year

Congratulations to the 2024-25 “Bob King Award” winners as Girls' Coaches of the Year -- Lenny Krebs, Brian Satterfield and Hollie Anson-Eaves.

2025 Assistant Coaches of the Year

Josh Wetzel of Heritage Hills and Brian Samples of Oldenburg Academy are the 2025 IBCA Assistant Coaches of the Year. This is the eighth year that the IBCA has presented awards in this category.

2025 PGC Transformational Coach Awards

Zac Nero of Evansville North and Rick Gard of Lake Central are winners of the 2025 Point Guard College/Indiana Transformational Coach Awards as presented by the IBCA.

Patrick, Conner named winners of Wooden Legacy Coaching Award

Outstanding retired coaches each recognized as an Indiana honoree for 2024-25 in the John Wooden Legacy Coaching Award program presented by the National High School Basketball Coaches Association.

2025 Virgil Sweet Distinguished Service Awards

Each year the IBCA Board of Directors selects individuals from each of the three IBCA Districts to receive the Virgil Sweet Distinguished Service Award. The winners for 2025 are Harold Welter of Knox, Greg Rakestraw of Indianapolis and Mark Brochin of Washington.

2025 Administrators of the Year

Congratulations to the 2025 Administrators of the Year – LaPorte athletic director Steve Santana, Ben Davis athletic director Heather McGowan and Scottsburg athletic director Jamie Lowry.

2025 IBCA/Franciscan Health Senior and Underclass Boys All-State

Fifteen seniors and 15 underclass players were chosen “Supreme 15,” 15 more seniors and 15 more underclass players were chosen Large School All-State, and 15 more seniors and 15 more underclass players were chosen Small School All-State in the IBCA/Franciscan Health All-State program for boys for the 2024-25 season. In addition, 94 seniors and 93 underclass players received Honorable Mention All-State accolades.

2025 Boys’ Academic All-State

Forty-three players were chosen as first-team selections on the IBCA 2025 Boys' Academic All-State Team. An additional 210 players were selected as honorable mention Academic All-State.

2025 Girls’ Academic All-State

Forty-one players were chosen as first-team selections on the IBCA 2025 girls' Academic All-State Team. An additional 223 players were selected as honorable mention Academic All-State.

IBCA/Franciscan Health Players of the Week

Eighty-seven student-athletes were named IBCA/Franciscan Health Players of the Week during the 2024-25 season.

IBCA/Ballogy Team of the Week honorees

Thirty-four teams were named IBCA/Ballogy Team of the Week during the 2024-25 season. Coaches of the teams selected – 17 boys’ teams and 17 girls’ teams.

Indiana All-Stars By Mike Broughton

This summer, the Indiana-Kentucky All-Star games will be in their 84th year of competition in an 87-year span (with no games in 1943 and 1944 during World War II and in 2020 because of COVID-19). This summer, we also celebrate 50 years of girls’ All-Star teams.

Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame By Matt Martin

Just like history being made on the hardwood, the Hall of Fame continues to showcase the history of Indiana basketball. Opened in December 2024, our 6,600-square-foot expansion showcases even more of what Indiana high school basketball is all about.

IBCA/IHSAA summer individual & team events

Underclass Showcase events are set for June 12 and June 27. In addition, the third girls’ Summer Team Tournament is planned for June 13-14 and the sixth boys’ Summer Team Tournament is set for June 20-22.

The 44th annual Girls’ Top 60 Senior Workout was held at Beech Grove School on Sunday, March 8. The 37th Boys’ Top 60 Senior Workout was held at Marian University on Sunday, March 30.

Indiana High School Record Book (boys only)

This 2025 edition of the Record Book, the 46th year it will be produced, marks a significant milestone in its history, transitioning from the dedicated efforts of Gene Milner and Greencastle Offset Printing and Graphics – who successfully published the past 42 editions – to the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association.
