In order for a player from your school to be eligible for selection to an IBCA All-State Team, the IBCA Academic All-State Team or to win a Marion Crawley, Junior Mannies or Pat Aikman scholarship award, you must be a current-year-member of the IBCA.

IBCA All-State teams for 2017-18
The IBCA will choose all-state teams in four general categories in 2017-18 – Senior Boys, Underclass Boys, Senior Girls and Underclass Girls. Within each category, four groups of honorees will be selected.

The fifth Challenge Cup will be Jan. 6, 2018, at Central Hardin High School in Cecilia, Ky. Teams representing Indiana are the Jeffersonville girls plus boys teams from Rushville, Oldenburg Academy, Oak Hill and Evansville Bosse.

From the beginning of last season through late September 2017, 186 people have been hired as new varsity basketball coaches in Indiana high schools – 93 to boys’ basketball positions and 93 to girls’ basketball positions – for the 2017-18 season.

The 2017 All-Star crowd at Bankers Life Fieldhouse was a good one at 6,466. Both Indiana All-Star teams split with Kentucky (girls lost 75-67 in Bankers Life Fieldhouse, then won 58-51 at the Frankfort Civic Center; the boys won 94-89 won in BLF, then fell 111-110 in double overtime in Kentucky) in competitive games.
